Whoa, where did April go? It seems like we have all been very busy. But much of it has been behind the scenes. I would love to share with you some of the results of that work.

Welcome to Across the Pond!

We teamed up with Dagmar Mora, a favorite designer of ours. She is from Scotland and is known for her innovative fingerless mitts and glove designs. She has many lovely accessory designs.

IMG_7321_medium2Across the Pond is written for three sizes: neckerchief, shawlette and shawl (small, medium, large). Knit end to end, Across the Pond using 1 (2, 2) skeins of PDS Sport.  The pattern has both written and charted instructions.

Here is a broader view of the lace pattern and overall shape.

Welcome to Waterton!

Another new pattern is a design from Aimee Alexander, Waterton. Waterton shawlette is an elegant combination of eyelets and garter stitch. It is also knit in PDS Sport, shown in Azul Maya.

Shawlettes of this type are very popular in the Knit ‘n Needle Yarn Shoppe. They are a relaxing knit that yields a very wearable article.

It was totally a coincidence that both the Across the Pond and Waterton were knit in the same color. But in fact we have over 25 colors of PDS Sport. A few colors that are currently proving to be popular are Inspiration, Juneberry, and Platinum. I am sure we have a color for you.

There is still time to join our PDS Yarns Kickoff KAL contest! Remember you can enter for free by posting in the Kickoff KAL General Chat thread on Ravelry. All the details are here.

We are off to TNNA show this weekend. This is the trade show for the knitting, yarn, and other needlearts. Looking forward to being inspired and meeting new people in the knitting, crocheting and yarn world.

Happy Knitting!
